One of the questions we receive often is: What’s the difference between the Interest List, Waitlist, and Reservation List? And more importantly—which one is right for you?
We’ve created each list to give families the opportunity to move forward at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
The Interest List — Stay Connected
If you’re receiving this email, you’re already here!
Our Interest List is the best place to be if you’re still learning about Ridge Valley, considering a future puppy, or simply waiting for the right timing.
As part of our Interest List, you’ll receive more personal, behind-the-scenes updates from our program, first-hand information about upcoming litters, breeding plans, pregnancy updates, available puppies, and what’s happening here at Ridge Valley.
There’s no deposit and no commitment—just a way to stay connected and be among the first to know what’s coming.
The Waitlist — I Have a Litter in Mind
If you already know which upcoming litter you’re interested in, you can take the next step by joining that litter’s Waitlist with a $150 waitlist deposit.
This holds your place for the litter you selected while we wait for the breeding to take place and be confirmed. Once the breeding is confirmed, we’ll contact you to complete the remaining puppy deposit and move onto the Reservation List.
Not quite ready to place the $150 waitlist deposit? That’s okay, too. You can still let us know which litter interests you. Once breeding takes place, we’ll notify you and give you the opportunity to pay the full deposit and join the litter.
Just keep in mind that without the $150 waitlist deposit, your position on that litter is not held.
The Reservation List — I’m Ready!
Our Reservation List is for families who know they want a Ridge Valley puppy from a specific litter and have completed their full puppy deposit.
Once your deposit is paid in full, your position on that litter is locked in. You’re officially part of that litter’s Ridge Valley family, and we’ll walk alongside you through the exciting months ahead—from pregnancy and puppy updates to temperament testing, matching, and eventually bringing your puppy home.
So… Which List Is Right for You?
Think of it this way:
Interest List:I’m interested and want to stay connected.
Waitlist:I know which litter I’m interested in and want to hold my place.
Reservation List:I’m ready, and I want my position secured.
What’s Coming Up at Ridge Valley?
We have two exciting Doradoodle® litters on the horizon:
Mini Doradoodles® — Due December 2026 Our upcoming Mini litter is for families looking for a smaller Ridge Valley companion while still getting the intentional temperament, curriculum, and puppy-raising foundation our program is known for.
Medium Doradoodles® — Due Late Spring 2027 For families looking for our traditional Medium Doradoodle®, we’re already beginning to build the list for this highly anticipated litter.
