The Monthly Wag- 2025 Year In Review

Year-End Reflections — 2025 in Review

As we close out 2025, my heart is full of gratitude for every family who welcomed one of our puppies into their lives, trusted our guidance, and shared their updates, questions, and joyful moments. Each year teaches us more about breeding ethically, training thoughtfully, and supporting families long after “go-home day” — and this year has truly been one of growth and purpose.

One of the biggest milestones this year was officially introducing our Ready & Waiting Curriculum. This program was designed specifically for puppies who stay with us past 8 weeks while they wait for their perfect match. Instead of simply “waiting,” these puppies continue learning through structured enrichment, confidence-building exercises, social exposure, and age-appropriate training. This extra time ensures they develop strong coping skills, emotional resilience, and the kind of steadiness that helps them transition beautifully into their forever homes.

Another major milestone was completing my Service Dog Trainer Certification. As both a breeder and a trainer, I felt called to take this step because so many families today need more than “just a pet.” They need partners, helpers, and companions with purpose. This certification allows me to evaluate and develop puppies differently, support future service dog teams more responsibly, and ensure that we only place dogs into roles where they can truly thrive and make a difference.

This leads to one of the most exciting developments of the year — the launch of The Marbles Project, our service-dog-focused training pathway. Already, we are watching dogs bring comfort, stability, and confidence to children and adults who genuinely need support. Seeing lives change — not just for families, but for the dogs who discover meaningful work — has reminded me exactly why we do this.

As we step into 2026, our mission remains clear:
ethical breeding, thoughtful training, and lifelong partnership with our families.
Thank you for being part of this beautiful journey.

Puppy Spotlight — A Little Heart with a Big Story

This year, I want to highlight Jojo, one of our available Doradoodles who has captured hearts everywhere she goes. Jojo is one of our Trained Puppies and is currently 7 months old. She began in our Puppy Academy and has continued through advanced work, showing us again and again how eager she is to learn and how deeply she bonds with her people.

Because of her intuition, emotional awareness, and ability to stay calm in new environments, Jojo is currently being evaluated for The Marbles Project, our service dog training program. We believe she has the potential to change lives — and that is something we never take lightly.

Watching her politely greet people, settle beside her person, and confidently navigate new experiences has been such a joy. She is a powerful reminder of what intentional foundation work — paired with the right pathway — can truly create.

These stories are why we do what we do — because every puppy has the potential to become someone’s heartbeat at their feet.

Trained & Ready Pups — Waiting for the Right Homes

We currently have Ready & Waiting and Trained Puppies available. These pups have already begun foundational work such as:

  • crate and potty training foundations
  • leash manners
  • basic obedience cues
  • confidence-building and social exposure
  • calm-settle routines

They are wonderful options for families who want a smoother transition, a little extra training head start, and continued support along the way.

If you’ve been thinking, “Maybe now is the right time…” — I’d love to help you decide if one of these sweet pups might be the right match.

Looking Ahead — Our Only Litter for 2026

Looking into the new year, we are planning one very special litter for late spring/early summer 2026 — and that will be our only Doradoodle litter for the year.

This litter will be a little different from what we have done in the past — and I am genuinely excited about what we are building. I can’t share all the details just yet, but I believe it will be an incredible opportunity for families looking for a thoughtfully raised, purpose-minded companion.

If you’d like to join the waitlist, you’ll be the very first to receive updates and details as they become available.

Winter Training Tips — Helping Your Puppy Thrive All Season

Cold weather can make training tricky, but consistency matters more than ever. A few helpful reminders:

  • Short sessions work wonders. Five focused minutes indoors beats one long distracted session outside.
  • Use enrichment tools. Puzzle toys, snuffle mats, hide-and-seek games, and short training sessions burn mental energy.
  • Keep potty trips purposeful. Leash your puppy, go to one spot, reward success, and come back inside.
  • Protect paws and routines. Ice-melt products can irritate paws — wipe them after walks and keep schedules predictable.
  • Practice calm. Teaching “place” or “settle” helps winter days feel peaceful instead of restless.

Little daily habits build confident adult dogs — even when the weather isn’t cooperating!
